The Jockey Club has announced that it will again award a generous $15,000 scholarship ($7,500 per semester) to an outstanding student pursuing a bachelor’s degree in an equine or potentially equine-related field.
The scholarship, first awarded in 2017, will go to a current or prospective college student with an interest in an equine career path. Preference will be given to applicants expressing a strong interest in becoming a part of the Thoroughbred industry. The winner must also maintain at least a 3.0 cumulative GPA and full time status to be eligible for the second semester scholarship payout.
Applications for the 2019-2020 Jockey Club Scholarship are due April 1, 2019.
