Vet Camp Contest Now Accepting Entries

If you’re a middle school student who wants to be a vet, we have a great summer opportunity for you!  Royal Canin and Vet Set Go have once again partnered to offer the 2018 Become a Veterinarian Camp Contest.  The contest, designed for rising sixth to eighth graders, offers the chance to win a spot in Auburn University’s Junior Vet Camp.  Three grand prize winners will receive free tuition for the sold-out camp, as well as meals and housing (a value of over $800).

The camp will be hosted at the Auburn campus from July 15-20, 2018.  Students will participate in classroom lectures, lab work, and visits to outdoor facilities.  Topics will include veterinary medicine, public health, food, wildlife, anatomy, x-rays, first aid, and a general overview of veterinary science career paths.

Entries are being accepted until May 4, 2018.  The student must compose a brief essay about why they want to become a vet and what they have done to explore this dream, and include a photo of themselves with a pet or other animal of their choice.  The entry form, essay, and photo must be submitted by a parent or guardian on behalf of the student via the Vet Set Go contest website.
