The Winn Feline Foundation and the American Association of Feline Practitioners have partnered to offer two $2,500 scholarships for third or fourth year veterinary students. One award will go to a student with an interest in becoming a feline practitioner, while the other will go to a student interested in feline clinical research.
Applicants must be attending an accredited veterinary college in the United States or Canada. Selection criteria will include the student’s academic record, financial need, leadership, and dedication to feline health. Applications are available for download from the Winn Feline Foundation website and must be submitted by March 23, 2018. Scholarship recipients will be announced by April 15, 2018.
The Winn Feline Foundation also partners with the American Veterinary Medical Foundation to offer an additional $2,500 scholarship for vet students with an interest in feline medicine. The AVMF/Winn Feline Foundation scholarship takes applications through May, with the winner being announced in July. Applications for this scholarship are not yet available on the AVMF website, but should be posted in February.
